What is Synway? Synway is a hybrid VOIP and TDM device, in short it can function as a Voice Gateway. To bridge calls from VOIP to Analog and vice versa. There are several menus that are mandatory to be configured so that the synway can function as a Voice Gateway.

Configure IP Address for Synway

On the dashboard menu, go to the LAN 1 menu. Please enter the parameters that are adjusted to the internal network . Mandatory: IP Address, Subnet and IP Gateway. After changing the IP Address, try to open the GUI via a web browser, just verify if the IP address is correct, the IP address has been changed and it works

Module Configuration on Synway (FXO Port)

On the Port menu, go to the FXO menu. click each FXO Line and enter the config in this menu:
Type : FXO
SIP Account: The number on the FXO line, example 02123123123
Connection Method: Static Binding (This is specifically for PLAR, it’s directly connected to the ext you want to go to, example receptionist)
Static Binding: Now this is the ext number that will receive incoming calls, continuously with the “Connection Method” config, here we enter the ext

Configure Route Call
Route Call, what is this? this is the menu where we will divert the call, there is a phase called Call Leg, after the call is received by synway where will it be sent? via what is it sent? . Later, we will discuss Call Leg. This menu is divided into 2 sub menus, namely IP to Tel and Tel to IP. Let’s unload one by one, just high lvl, okay? IP to Tel is incoming to Synway which can come from CUCM, Asterik and other IPPBX, while Tel to IP is outgoing from synway to IPPBX. Some of the mandatory parameters on the two menus are:

Tel to IP Configuration
Index -> this is just numbering, if you know dial-peer. same as numbering on dial peer, just number just
Source Port Group -> What module are incoming calls coming from
Called ID Prefix -> Identify the number called . If you don’t want to bother, just fill in * (meaning all numbers)
Callee ID Prefix -> Identify the calling number. Can also be filled with * if you don’t want to define
Destination IP -> Call will be routed to which IPPBX? what is the address?
This part is filled with IPPBX IP Address yes
Destination Port -> by default 5060 UDP , if there is a costume port on IPPBX then it needs to be equalized yaa

IP to Tel Configuration
Index -> same as before, it’s just numbering
Source IP -> So where did this call come from? Which IPPBX is throwing a call to synway? For example with CUCM , enter the CUCM IP Address
Called ID Prefix -> Identify the number called . If you don’t want to bother, just fill in * (meaning all numbers)
Callee ID Prefix -> Identify the calling number. Can also be filled with * if you don’t want to define
Call Destination -> The call will be routed to which module (this is related to the configuration above, please specify the FXO module that we configured earlier)

With the configuration of all the parameters above, synway should be able to forward calls. Both incoming and outgoing
Noted: Sorry, there is no picture, If you have difficulty, feel free to have a discussion
